Schutzhund North Americans - Protection - Kway vom Posthorn owned and Handled by Bill Kulla

Kway vom Posthorn is black and tan and true medium size. He is Son of Asko von der Lutter (WUSV Champion) and Frigga vom Posthorn and a grandson of Aly vom Vordersteinwald on his mother’s side. Kway was an LGA competitor; imported from Germany and has competed at an elite level throughout the United States earning top scores.  He is a true all-three-phase Schutzhund dog that has achieved “V” in protection numerous times. He is a phenomenal dog that shows a fast, animated obedience performance with precision. In tracking he shows a deep methodical nose. But make no mistake, this is a very desirable dog for the protection phase. He shows a natural dominance; yet is very calm, shows full, powerful grips and is always clear. He possesses an unbelievable ability to cap his drive and passes these qualities onto his offspring.

In looking for a Stud, type and temperament is a high priority but equally important is the health of the dog. Kway not only has longevity coming from his father Asko; he also has a strong family history on his father and mother side for producing normal hips. He has already proven to produce normal hips himself and we are seeing Normal hip production in our A-litter.

His steady temperament, clarity and solid nerves are what set him apart from many others. His strong pack drive and willingness to please are a nice balance to his tendency to dominate. While visiting him I had the chance to see him interact with his own pup. It was a true testament to his stability. In fact special mention of his exceptional temperament is made in his breed survey.

Both Gjeter and Kway are KK1, the highest breed survey through the SV in Germany which is recommended for breeding. The bite work evaluation was fundamental in the final decision to grant each dog a KK1.
